Initiative to engage with those most distanced from the Labour Market, by providing information regarding Education, Training and Work options, and actively encouraging the most difficult to reach to take part in other parts of the program
Education and Training Program spanning all levels from Literacy to Third Level / Further Education, as well as Specific upskilling program to increase the transferable skills of those who are Unemployed, Under-employed, at risk of Unemployment or not in the Labour Market
To work with the target groups to identify and target Employment / Enterprise Opportunities, in both Private Enterprise and in the Social Economy
Engage with the community, particularly those who are at most risk of economic disadvantage;
develop longer term plan to use local resources more efficiently
To engage with and encourage those most distanced from the economic life of the community.
To assist them to assess their strengths, skills, as well as training needs so that they increase their employment potential
To encourage them to take part in other areas of work under the program ie. Education and Training, Employment Programs, Work Experience programs, etc.

To increase the capacity of individuals to enter for the first time, or re-enter and progress within the labour market, targeting in particular those who have difficulty finding sustainable employment.
Devise and deliver targeted CATCH program, comprising a number (2 - 3) of FETAC modules as appropriate for the participants, for example, Preparation for Work, Personal Effectiveness, Effective Communications, Work Experience, Team-working. . .
Delivery of targeted program to increase confidence and potential to access a shrinking labour market. Registration of min. 20 participants. Completion of program by min. 80% of participants. Progression to applying for and actively seeking sustainable employment/self-employment of 75% of participants.
Progression into employment of min. 40% + of participants

Devise and deliver Accredited Training Program (ie. 2 - 3 FETAC modules / City & Guilds) in order to increase the skill level of participants over a range subjects, for example,
Childcare, Health & Safety, First Aid, IT Skills . . . .
Registration of min. 35 participants in Training Program
Upskilling of min 95% of participants
Completion of 2 – 3 FETAC modules of min. 90% participants
Registration for FETAC assessment of min. 80% of participants
Progression into employment of min. 50% + of participants
Delivery of targeted program to increase skills of participants to access employment / self-employment

(eg. small-holders, sole traders, small enterprises)

Bring together key stakeholders to look at Development Opportunities at local level. Develop plan to take advantage of strengths and opportunities. Identify methods that people who are disadvantaged / vulnerable to disadvantage can use to take up those opportunities
Series of planning meetings to look at the main issues,

Develop plan to address issues by using strengths and opportunities
