Computers for beginners and improvers and a Kitchen Garden Course

Computers for Beginners
FETAC Level 3 Module BF0133 Computer Literacy
This course is suitable for absolute beginners, who have no previous knowledge of computers. As classes are limited to 8 per class learners will be able to avail of individual attention. Learners who successfully complete this module will have a general understanding of computer operation and use and of word processing, email and internet. Learners will be required to put together a folder of coursework for assessment.
Entry requirements: None
Duration: 2 hours per week for 9 weeks Mondays 10am – 12 noon or 7.30pm – 9.30pm
Computers for Improvers
FETAC Level 4 Module B10135 Information Technology Skills This course is suitable for those with some knowledge of computers but would like to improve their computer skills. This course will cover an introduction to Information Technology, Data Entry, Word Processing, Internet and File Management. Assessment is based on one written and four practical assignments. Preferred entry level: Level 3 or a basic knowledge of computers.
Duration: 2 hours per week for 9 weeks Thursdays 10am – 12 noon or 7.30pm – 9.30pm
Fee for computer courses: Working Full-time €100 Working Part-time/working in the home €75 In receipt of Social Welfare Payment €50
Enrolment on first day of class. Fees must be paid in full on enrolment. Fees are non-refundable except where a course is not held due to poor enrolment. Formation of courses will depend upon sufficient enrolments for the course

The Kitchen Garden/ grow your own fruit and vegetables.
This course is designed for those just starting out gardening and those who are already growing vegetables, fruit and herbs. This course will include seed sowing, composting, companion planting, mulching, raised beds and containers and much more.
One night per week 7.30pm - 9.30pm for 6 weeks approx. Fee: €60
