Funding from the Community Work Department, Health Service Executive, Southern Region, has assisted in establishing services for marginalised individuals and groups in the Múscraí area with a long number of years.
Many social and health related services have resulted from this assistance including the Scoraíocht and Múscraí Transport Association. This programme provided funding towards purchasing the Luas - the community bus - with which the staff of the Community Services Programme now provide a community transport service. The funding has also provided various health information sessions, as well as assistance to childcarea facilities, support groups - Parents and Toddlers, Breastfeeding Support and an Ability Group.
