Coiste Forbartha Beal Átha'n Ghaorthaidh was established in 1970 to promote and develop Béal Átha'n Ghaorthaidh and it's community.
The Coiste Forbartha helps any community and voluntary groups within the area with any development plans which they may have. They also deal with politicians, local authorities, and statutory bodies on behalf of Béal Átha'n Ghaorthaidh and the local community.
Their latest achievement is the development and completion of a new Childcare Facility and Childrens' Playground. They have a very active Tidy Towns Committee who work diligently on a voluntary basis to maintain the village and surrounding area.
The group also organise regular community events, such as St. Patrick's Day Parade, Christmas Concert and Christmas Table Quiz.
Coiste Forbartha Béal Átha'n Ghaorthaidh have a meeting once a month.
